Your Privacy Matters to Us

At Tame That Tiger, operated by Synercomm LLC ("Synercomm," "we," "our," or "us"), privacy and the protection of personal information are important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and disclose it, how long we retain it, and the choices available to you when you use tamethattiger.com and the tools, features, subscriptions, and other digital services we operate (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. Where applicable law requires a specific form of consent, we will request that consent through the appropriate mechanism.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and account authentication information. Passwords are securely hashed; we do not store passwords in plain text.

1.2 Retirement Scenario, Budget, and Savings Information

The Service allows you to enter financial-planning information to build retirement dashboards, projections, budgets, savings goals, and saved scenarios. Depending on the features you use, this may include:

  • age and household or marital-status information;
  • employment and income information;
  • pension information and estimates;
  • Social Security estimates and claiming assumptions;
  • savings and retirement-account balances or estimates;
  • monthly expenses, budget information, and budget history;
  • savings goals;
  • portfolio and growth assumptions;
  • retirement age, timing, goals, and planning assumptions;
  • real-estate or other planning assumptions you choose to enter; and
  • other financial-planning information you voluntarily provide.

We refer to this information collectively as "Retirement Scenario Data." We store it so that the Service can perform calculations and projections and so that your saved scenarios, budgets, and savings goals remain available between visits. We do not sell Retirement Scenario Data.

1.3 AI Financial Coach

Tame That Tiger uses Anthropic's Claude API (Messages API) to power the AI Financial Coach. When you use the AI Coach, your message and a summary of relevant information from your saved scenario are sent through Tame That Tiger's server to Anthropic to generate a response. The AI Coach does not have unrestricted access to every field displayed in your account.

Under Anthropic's standard commercial API data-handling terms described to us for this integration, inputs and outputs are generally deleted from Anthropic's systems within 30 days of receipt or generation, subject to exceptions including longer retention for Usage Policy enforcement or where required by law. Tame That Tiger does not have a Zero Data Retention (ZDR) arrangement with Anthropic as of the Last Updated date.

We do not store the text of AI Coach conversations after the response is generated. We retain an aggregate daily message count for usage-limit administration as described in Section 5.

1.4 Payment and Subscription Information

Subscription and professional-listing payments are processed through Stripe Checkout and Stripe's Billing Portal. Card entry occurs on Stripe-hosted pages. Synercomm does not receive, transmit, or store your full card number, expiration date, CVV, or billing address. We receive and store limited billing metadata, including Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, subscription status, and the current billing-period end date.

1.5 Professional Directory Information

If you apply to be listed as a financial or tax professional, such as a CPA or CFP professional, we may collect your name, firm, license or credential information, practice areas or specialties, service regions, contact details, website information, and profile content for manual review and, if approved, public display.

Professionals pay a recurring fee to appear in the directory. A paid directory listing is advertising, not an endorsement, certification, recommendation, or guarantee by Synercomm. Consumers are responsible for independently evaluating a professional.

1.6 Requests to Contact a Listed Professional

If you request an introduction to a professional you selected, we may collect and send your name, if provided, email address, region, and any message you submit to that professional. The request may be stored so the professional can view it through the professional portal and may also be delivered by email on a best-effort basis.

1.7 Directory Location Search

When you enter a ZIP code to search for nearby professionals, the Service uses Zippopotam.us to convert that ZIP code into an approximate location. Only the ZIP code is sent for that lookup; Tame That Tiger does not intentionally attach your account or session information to the ZIP-code request.

1.8 Usage and Log Data

We automatically collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages or features visited, timestamps, and server or security logs for security, debugging, service operation, and abuse prevention.

1.9 Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use essential cookies, server sessions, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, protect against cross-site request forgery, maintain security, and operate core Service functionality. We do not currently use third-party advertising trackers.

Our August 2026 production review identified Google Fonts resources but did not identify Google Analytics, Google Ads, Microsoft/Bing Ads, or Meta Pixel. If we later add analytics, advertising, or other non-essential tracking technologies, we will update our disclosures and implement any legally required choices before those technologies are deployed.

1.10 Information We Deliberately Do Not Collect

The Service does not collect Social Security numbers, bank or brokerage account login credentials, tax identification numbers, or similar sensitive identifiers. Where the planning tools ask about Social Security or investment accounts, they ask for estimated dollar figures or planning assumptions, not account numbers, passwords, or government identification numbers.

2. How We Use Information

  • to provide and maintain retirement-planning tools and saved scenarios;
  • to operate budgets and savings-goal features;
  • to operate the AI Financial Coach;
  • to process payments and manage subscriptions;
  • to review and, if approved, publish professional-directory listings;
  • to deliver consumer-initiated contact requests to the professional selected by the consumer;
  • to send service-related communications such as billing receipts, password resets, security notices, and account notices;
  • to detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, or security issues;
  • to debug, maintain, and improve the Service; and
  • to comply with applicable law and protect our legal rights.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use Retirement Scenario Data or AI Coach conversations for advertising purposes.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We disclose information to a limited number of service providers as needed to operate the Service:

  • Stripe, Inc. — payment processing and subscription management through Stripe-hosted checkout and billing tools.
  • Anthropic — AI processing for the AI Financial Coach through the Claude API.
  • Zippopotam.us — ZIP-code-to-location lookup used for nearby professional-directory searches; only the ZIP code is sent for this lookup.
  • Our hosting and infrastructure provider(s) — application, database, server, backup, and related infrastructure services.

We expect service providers to process information only as necessary to provide services to us and subject to their applicable contracts, terms, privacy policies, and legal obligations.

4. The Professional Directory — What "Verified" Means

Professionals listed in our directory pay a recurring fee to appear. This is advertising, not an endorsement. We review credential and license information submitted by each applicant before approving a listing, but this review does not guarantee competence, current good standing, suitability for your needs, or results. You are responsible for independently verifying a professional's credentials and deciding whether to engage that professional.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain different categories of information for different periods based on the purpose for which the information was collected, operational requirements, and applicable legal obligations:

  • Account information: retained while your account is active. When an account is deleted, eligible account information is deleted within 30 days, subject to records we must or are permitted to retain.
  • Saved scenarios, budgets, and savings goals: retained while your account is active. Deleting an individual saved scenario removes that scenario from the active application immediately and permanently. Remaining planning data associated with a deleted account is deleted within the applicable account-deletion window, subject to backup and legal-retention limitations.
  • AI Coach conversations: the text of AI Coach conversations is not retained by Tame That Tiger after generation of the response. An aggregate daily message count may be retained for up to 90 days to administer usage limits.
  • Server and log data: retained according to our hosting and security log-rotation practices and only as long as reasonably necessary for security, debugging, and abuse prevention.
  • Billing records: retained as reasonably necessary for tax, accounting, billing-dispute, and legal recordkeeping requirements.
  • Professional-directory applications: active listing information is retained while the listing is active. Information associated with rejected or cancelled listings may be retained for a limited period for administration, disputes, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
  • Professional contact requests: retained as reasonably necessary to deliver and administer the request and for legitimate security, dispute, and recordkeeping purposes.
  • Backups: deleted information may remain temporarily in routine backups until the relevant backup is cycled or overwritten.

Where we state a specific retention period, that period is the criterion we use for that category. Where no specific period is stated, we retain the information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information. You may also update information available through your account and use available controls to delete saved scenarios. To make a privacy request, contact us using the information in Section 11. We may verify your identity or authority before completing a request.

6A. California Residents

As of the Last Updated date, Synercomm does not represent that it meets the statutory thresholds that generally make a business subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We nevertheless value the privacy principles reflected in California law and will reassess CCPA applicability as the business grows or its data practices change.

If the CCPA becomes applicable to Synercomm, California residents may have rights including rights to know/access, delete, correct inaccurate personal information, opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable, and be free from unlawful discrimination for exercising applicable rights. We do not sell personal information for money and do not currently use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected such information in a manner not permitted by law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These measures include HTTPS encryption in transit, password hashing, restricted database access, access controls, server and application security measures, protected API credentials, backups, logging, and incident-response practices appropriate to the Service. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Users

Tame That Tiger is operated in the United States and is intended primarily for U.S. users. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and in locations where our service providers operate.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date above, and for material changes we may make reasonable efforts to notify active users by email, in-app notice, or another appropriate method.

We review this Privacy Policy against our actual data flows at least annually and when we introduce a new material vendor, tracker, AI feature, payment flow, or category of personal information.
